British Women are protesting against Violence.The women are protesting with play cards with different slogans.
Human rights activist Hillary Margolis said
"New year, same old farce of #UK gov't "tackling" violence against women with actions that reek of victim-blaming & don't do anything to actually address the problem. Knock, knock - hi! When did you last hear men outside a pub saying, "Hey, text me so I know you got home ok, yeah?" Women do it every. single. day. We take pains to plan safe routes home & spend £ on transport to do so. It's the price of being female (or perceived as such).
3/But we shouldn't have to, and we're sick & tired of it. There's no substitute for combating the longstanding normalization of violence against women & girls both in public and in private. And an app can't do that for you, UK home office. We demand more."
Women think that nothing have been changed with new year except calendar.
And violence is still on it's wrost form against women. Margolis is play card written protect your daughter & Educate your son.
